Tweet author: in my tweet "The torment nexus", I was critiquing tech companies' lack of media literacy, leading to shitty outcomes.
Tech company: this tweet highlights how horrible our users are but we can fix them with a shitty technical solution.

“Who was president in 2020?” the hardest question in American political commentary, turns out to be just a specific instance of the true hardest question, which is “Are there events?”
you will note that the latest report, like all the reports, spend no time dealing with with the media environment or attention economy. (it also weirdly treats political choices as untethered from events)

Dover Bronze Age boat.
Excavated in September 1992, the boat it thought to date to 1575–1520 BCE, which may make it one of the oldest substantially intact boats in the world. The boat was constructed using oak planks sewn together with yew lashings.

You need to know... where is Dagoth Ur? what are Dagoth Ur's plans? who are Dagoth Ur's servants? who is Dagoth Ur? what are Dagoth Ur's powers? what is known about Dagoth Ur's defenses? how can I prepare for battle against Dagoth Ur? who can help?

Here Lam explicitly sets out her proposal - which is official Conservative Party policy - to deport long-standing legal permanent residents who have *ever* claimed any benefit, including the state pension or child benefit (even if the child is British), or who earn less than £39K.

Just witnessed someone trying to fireb*mb Fletcher’s Ice Cream in NE. Saw a dude acting weird next to a parked car in front of the place. I walked by, heard a smash through my earbuds, smelled gasoline/kerosine. Turned around, snapped some photos instinctively. Thankfully they suck at molot*vs.

EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.
I glanced down at the message.
“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.
So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.
