We need to support trans people in the workplace to help prevent their exclusion from the every day conversations that affect them.
I am happy to speak to anyone to share advice on applying to jobs, interviews, career development in any way I can.

New research maps the campaign to erase trans people from UK data 🔢

This peer-reviewed article offers the first detailed account of how UK campaign groups have sought to define sex as strictly biological across the census, policing, healthcare and digital ID.

Incredibly important new study from Cal Horton @fiercemum.bsky.social - the first to look at England's post-Cass child/adolescent gender clinics. Dr Horton found patients and families are being actively harmed, with one young person describing appointments as "the worst thing I’ve ever experienced”.
“The worst thing I’ve ever experienced” – comparing experiences of affirmative and non-affirmative healthcare provision for trans adolescents in the UK
Within trans youth healthcare two fundamentally different models of care persist, with a significant difference between affirmative and non-affirmative healthcare services. To date there has been l...

🚩 Heads up - I’m in the pub two glasses of wine down and have not read the Levy report, so, correct me if I’ve misunderstood.

May I repeat: for a health issue NOT classified as a mental health condition, why are psychiatrists and psychologists the first line of assessment for trans patients? 🚩
“First assessments should be conducted by a senior clinician, such as a psychiatrist or consultant clinical psychologist, in a face-to-face meeting.”

This is going to be interesting.

It is a sign of how fundamentally abused and traumatised trans communities are in the UK that many folks are responding to Levy with relief and cautious welcome.

It could have been a lot worse.

But it fundamentally fails to deliver meaningful improvements to trans healthcare. 1/4

I wouldn't put too much stock in the Levy Review stating it wants to acheive good results. For istance, it says it is hoping to reduce waiting times, but will the recommendations actually do that? Removing the ability to self-refer won't do that.

Alice Sullivan tells universities to suppress pro-trans research to protect GC staff. However, HER OWN DATA shows pro-trans research is already more suppressed.

When I told the BBC this, they edited out any reference to the data. They have now corrected the record.

We must #ChangeTheNarrative!

Dr Beth Upton was fully acquitted of all wrongdoing in yesterday’s Employment Tribunal decision. Yet she has been vilified by a toxic & poisonous media for months.
It must stop!

Congratulations, and solidarity, to you, Beth!

In her evidence, Dr Upton said she was comfortable not using that changing room and having her own room. The tribunal considered this fact, concluding that it might be the least discriminatory option during part of the suspension and until alternative work hours arrangements are put in place.

The idea that “once any transphobe has complained, we lose our rights” is now portrayed by the media as the new law. In reality, no lawyer would take that as a correct takeaway of the ET judgment.

Also another recent ET, Leonardo, goes even further, held that inclusion is not optional.

My main concern about the Fife case is that it's quite possible they are happy with losing a large amount of the case. Giving them the chance to appeal and set precedent may well be more beneficial than winning the case in the first instance.
December 8, 2025 at 6:07 PM
So, who's betting that after the gender criticals finishing lauding their amazing victory they go straight into appealing the judgement?
