Batman: the Brave and the Bold

Ambush Bug (henry winkler) tries to stop Batmite (Paul Reubens) from getting the show cancelled.

Tactics include gratuitous toy tie-ins and replacing Aquaman (John Dimaggio) with Aquaman (Ted McGinley).

And somehow sticks a heartfelt landing with sincerity. 🧑‍🍳💋👌🏻
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

I have had some surreal Christmas eve calls with my dad, but I don't think this year's is getting topped anytime soon.

"So, Nicky. I got chlamydia."

Additionally: You can pick your favorite indie bookseller to benefit from your purchases, and they claim to share >80% of the profit from it.

Buying local is best, but these folks are my online retailer of choice for sure.
If your resolution this year is to support more independent bookstores, hi!👋🏽

We’re Bookshop.org, an ethical alternative to Amazon for buying books online where every purchase supports indie bookstores all over the U.S. 😌📚

I have had to grudgingly accept that there are legitimate use cases* for generative AI in my field. Even so, when I hear:

"Seniors + AI = Juniors"
The Automation Paradox was bad enough when humans wrote the code, thanks.

Good riddance, ya howling fascist prick.

In Japan a group of us decided to drunkenly race to the dorms in a foot of snow.

I landed in a hidden pothole and rolled my ankle so hard it chipped off some bone fragments that are floating in there to this day.

My right ankle is about double the size of my left as a result.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

Since I guess it's just fine and dandy to do, feel free to take our head of state any time, other countries.

Superman is busy abducting a foreign head of state.
Batman is busy abducting a foreign accountant.
The Avengers are busy blowing up an entire foreign city to contain the world ending robot they accidentally made.
Where the hell is the Justice League? The Marvel heroes? The Avengers? Anyone?

I'm rereading The Maxx for the first time in ages, and it's really hammering home how much of my aesthetic sensibility is informed by Sam Keith.

I remain fascinated by Kieth's consistent explorations of feminist themes, and completely unsure whether he's being responsible with them.

Got a Nancy collection out of the library, and am happy to report it goes exactly as hard as this app has prepared me to expect.

Fuckin' solid shit.

Big oof.

Sorry to all those other writers, but this is not how you get me interested in your collection.

Looks like they've already taken his name off the cover of the print book, lol.

Stewart's been on a streak of pretty bad takes for years, but this one is particularly disappointing.

The man spent decades shaming congresspeople into giving 9/11 first responders health care, and his first non-DS segment was about army burn pits getting people sick.

He should know better.
Disappointed to see Jon Stewart & co joke about masking in public. I do it for my medically fragile daughter (Batten Disease). People not masking properly led to her getting pneumonia, which led to her being on life support, which led to me getting price quotes on her cremation just in case.

My girlfriend and I were making out while waiting for an elevator.

When the doors opened, @wilwheaton.net and his wife popped out, yelled "Busted!", and bolted in the other direction.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie
