It is quite astonishing that the labour party have never had a female leader, when you consider the Tories have had several.

ALWAYS support staff - trainee or otherwise - in front of the kids. You can have the other conversation in private.
heard a story yday where a trainee teacher tried to teach KFC to a class and the class shouted them down saying it wasnt maths and the classes actual teacher said the class was right and the trainee is really grudgeful about the whole thing now.

I'm sorry, what?
The smell you get from eating off crockery that hasn't been dried properly is the worst smell on earth.

Jim Radcliffe pissed me off, so I wrote this about the inconvenient truth of migration.

tl:dr - no, just fucking read it. Some basic mathematics - you know, COUNTING THINGS - might make you reconsider, you stupid twats.

And Starmer needs to step up and do something about it.
The Epstein files show that Brexit was never a “plucky British revolt”. In reality, Brexit was fed, and empowered, by an entire class of oligarchs and autocrats, who thrive on chaos, weak regulation and brittle institutions.
The will of the rich and powerful: Brexit and the Epstein files
The Epstein files reveal the role of Brexit in a global network which stands to gain from undermining democracy itself

Driving back from Southampton, five minutes from home, and hit a row of three HUGE pot holes and split the tyre. Thank goodness for the local garage who came out, drive me home, took the wheel off and fitted a temporary tyre to get it back, and they'll fit a new tyre tomorrow. I LOVE my people.

Wonder lies below the surface of this truly fantastic sitcom from the creator of Detectorists. It’s an impossible marvel of TV making

No-one seems to have noticed, but many of the core developments in the Mandelson/Epstein story these last few days have been broken on this website. @pickardje.bsky.social and @petergeoghegan.bsky.social are both posting each breaking development on BlueSky, not X.

Did you know that a new education centre is being built by hand at Stonehenge? It is based on Durrington 68, a late Neolithic square-in-circle timber structure. Watch regular updates from Luke, the project leader, here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LATY...

Look at that shiny thing in the sky! Not sure how long it will last but I thought photographic evidence of the fact that the sun does actually exist was a good idea 😂. Photo taken this morning in Glastonbury. ☀️

EXACTLY how I feel.
Wish the Guardian would just run ads instead of this relentless begging every time you open a page. Or put in a 1-per-24 hour cap or something.

Every page is beyond annoying and I'm clearly not giving them cash until there is an overhaul at the top of the company, including the editor.
