I've been forced to be "hard". But I also was still not sure of who I really was due to it all mostly being pre transition.

I've had to be "hard" my whole life, but I was masking. Now so, more than ever I have control over my own emotions and that allows me to make the choice to be soft. Which is what I've always wanted to do my whole life, but due to the situations thrown at me many being rooted in toxic masculinity

But most of all remember gender is a spectrum and people fall on all ends of it regardless of what genitalia they were born with or have. There's nothing wrong with having traits on all ends of said spectrum and it doesn't invalidate what you identify as. Because you always know you the best.

Since you all decided to stick your noses into my gender identify and try and mold my idea of what femininity is despite me being a woman and already knowing. Femininity isn't tits and ass, it's something far more sacred than that. It's divine love, empathy, caring, nurturing, creation.

It's a sad reminder when I have to announce that feminism doesn't mean superiority of the "female" gender over the male one. Sure things like washing dishes and doing laundry have been used against women to patronize them as house wives and house hold "slaves"

Now this isn't to say that the concept of control and how you prefer to be in control of a situation or go with the flow as both can be useful in regards to a subjective situation strictly dictates your gender, but more a outcome of how the patriarchal system has molded women to be for survival

Weird hypothetical, but through my transition and what I've learnt from observing gendered norms on both sides of the spectrum of femininity and masculinity(non toxic and toxic) is that one of the differtiators between them is control. Women love to feel in control while men usually prefer to abide
