I'm sitting here digesting the word about Amazon shoving AI into its kindle books... with no way to opt out.
I'm picturing the struggle for so many little authors, for many of whom Amazon was the place where they were most likely to get seen even once.

Caught my neighbor's fantail pigeon making a very graceful 'walk' across a roof top solar panel, that was mostly her sliding halfway down then restarting.
Had to draw it, since she went back to her coop before I could get my phone to record it.

Man I know I'm not dumb, I have read some dense, lore heavy books but I think I'm gonna DNF Gideon the Ninth. It's not a bad book and I know I'm late to the party but trying to read it feels like I'm watching inside jokes fly past and I only know enough to know that I'm missing something.
