Vaccines are an integral part of public health.

No one should go without protection due to financial circumstances.

They need to be freely available to everyone, and I hope more states follow Massachusetts lead.
luckytran.com
Massachusetts is outdoing other states because they are the first to require insurers to cover the cost of COVID shots and other vaccines recommended by state health officials.

Vaccines are not accessible if they are unaffordable. Every state needs to follow their lead!
This notice provides guidance from the Massachusetts Division of Insurance (DOI) and Department of Public Health (DPH) to Carriers about Massachusetts guidelines for vaccines, and to clarify the DOI’s expectations regarding coverage for vaccines within Massachusetts-issued insured health plans. Under the provisions of M.G.L. c. 176O, §6(a), and the DOI regulation for Managed Care Protections and Accreditation of Carriers, 211 CMR 52.00, in 211 CMR 52.13, Carriers are expected to provide clear explanations within Evidence of Coverage materials to persons covered within Massachusetts-issued insured health plans about benefits for vaccines. The DOI also expects other Carrier communication materials to impart clear information about vaccine coverage. Coverage for Vaccines
Carriers are expected to provide coverage for all vaccines and the cost to administer vaccines, without cost-sharing and without the use of any utilization management, for persons covered under Massachusetts-issued insured health plans who satisfy the recommended guidelines established by DPH for the provision of immunizations in Massachusetts. Carriers are expected to update all Evidences of Coverage in accordance with 211 CMR 52.13, and to make clear in all online information how eligible persons may access covered benefits for vaccines.

Carrier products with prescription drug formularies may limit access to vaccines to those specified on their plan formularies, provided that there is at least one product on the plan formulary that will address each item on the DPH recommended guidelines for vaccines. Health plans that offer non-emergency coverage through a closed network of providers may limit access to those health care practitioners or pharmacies that are part of their closed networks.

Daily bunny no.3065 doesn't miss a spot
Three bunnies have a carwash, with a hose, cloth and soapy water. A fourth bunny sits inside the car, ineffectively using the windshield wiper as they look through the windshield

Daily bunny no.3059 is lying in wait
A bunny floats in a shallow tropical pool, maybe an oasis. His nose, eyes and ears are peering out of the water, but the rest of him is submerged. A small crocodile faces him, likewise peering out of the water, and two bunnies standing on the shore are surprised by it

With all the Gem Dragons I did for Dungeons & Dragons The Book of Dragons, the crystal dragon probably had the strongest foundation to build from so I really made a meal out of painting the skin folds.

This is dragon 4 of 5
Design sheet for the Crystal dragon. It had two tails and saggy skin, mama mia what more could a guy want 😍

Daily bunny no.3020 is checking on the bake
A bunny opens the oven to inspect a pastry they are baking, a simple french apple tart in a square baking pan. They are in a small kitchen, with the mixing bowl and cutting board still on the counter.

I’m glad that the risks of meds like Gabapentin are being made clear.

They’re not very effective for pain, yet pushed on patients because they’re the “non addictive” option.

They can cause seizures, aphasia and dementia.

We desperately need better pain management options for chronic conditions

Now do Lyrica.

These meds are grossly over prescribed for chronic pain. These medications are rarely effective (a few people find them effective, most don't), and come with serious side effects.

The Lyrica that I'm on, is the least effective med that I'm on for pain.

Gabapentin, which is used to treat seizures, nerve pain and restless leg syndrome might be linked with increased risk of dementia, a new study says.
