I just don’t understand I guess. Dallas didn’t lose significant pieces, added a big one in Johansson, all while getting another year of stability under Quill and most analysts think they’ll be worse in 2026.

I am so glad Dallas gets Nashville week 2 as opposed to midseason or later. That team when fully cooked is gonna be a problem.
Can confirm reports from @ELROLONW.bsky.social and @tombogert.bsky.social that Nashville are finalizing a deal to acquire Reed Baker-Whiting from the Seattle Sounders.
Baker-Whiting, 20, can play fullback or on the wings. Gives Nashville needed depth behind Lovitz and Nájar with starting potential.

With Maarten Paes officially an Ajax player, only 3 players under contract with FC Dallas right now were on the 2022 roster when Paes first signed:
-Paxton Pomykal
-Tsiki Ntsabeleng (currently on loan to Mamelodi Sundowns FC in South Africa)
-Bernard Kamungo (played 20 minutes in one game)

A good question. I theorized in my Paes write up that would be the easiest call. Maybe they feel Sirois is a better keeper. 150k GAM is basically nothing for a club with 4+ mil in it. Reserving judgement until more information arises.
According to Transfermarkt, Jacob Jackson still doesn't have a club. Why pay Montreal for a backup keeper instead of making him an offer to be the GK2?
