Even bluegrass was likely created by mixed-race folks in Appalachia and the banjo (both the word and the instrument) were derived from West/Central Africa.

I remember posting something on here about it being a misstep if leftists aren’t organizing with their local services (fire, EMS, libraries, etc) OR attempting to build/train new community services.

Ain’t no effective Revolution happening without those services and infrastructure.

This was something that was solidified for me in/after 2020 protests against police brutality: both of these parties (and our entire economy) are deeply invested in both the prison and military industrial complexes, and those investments inevitably lead to what we're seeing now.
