August’s full moon rises 🌕🌠

Named the 'Sturgeon Moon’ by Native Americans for plentiful fishing, & the 'Grain Moon' in Old English to mark the harvest.

Tonight, it shares the sky with the Perseid meteor shower (peaking 12 Aug), so keep an eye out for shooting stars!

I finished 2 excellent magical books this week. Both expertly weave magic into our own world, making it feel like the most natural of phenomena and helping me look at our world with a different slant. What brilliant magical books would you recommend? #KidsBooksFriday #KidLitUK #UKKidLit

I got to speak to him about Economics, Power and the Real World.

More specifically on my problems with William Nordhaus and my love of Susan Strange.

We all have too much to read… so appreciate those who’ve taken the time with RICARDO’S DREAM and shared their thoughts 📖👍🏼
(1/4) This excellent new book by @natjdyer.bsky.social, taking a different beat from most literature on the failings of economics, focuses on the idea - that free trade is generally good - with perhaps the widest support amongst economies. Ironically, it comes just as the contrary… 💙📚 #Econsky
