If you don't know it, Jo (🏳️‍⚧️) has a great little YouTube channel where she does guitar gear stuff with her own animations. She has a little animated sidekick who is a snarky cat.

I lost all my possessions when I was poisoned by black mould, so I no longer have those cheapo guitars and other random gear that we all tend to accumulate over the years.

If I remember correctly, I think any Strat with six-screws in the bridge works but not two. I'd have to check the Duesy manual again. But thank your for the suggestion. I'll maybe see if I can come up with a solution for a cheap guitar to test on.

Yeah, that's smart. Unfortunately, I don't have any cheapo guitars.

If I had a Strat, I could install a Duesneberg on that without any drilling because of the design, but I don't have a Strat.

I might try a Duesenberg multibender, but it requires drilling into the guitar, and I'm not sure I'm prepared to do irreversible mods.

I'm pretty crushed because I have been wanting to install a multibender like this for YEARS, and I didn't even really get to try it out because I can't get beyond basic setup.

The problem isn't really the benders (although they creak and squeak). It's the plate design, which makes basic setup pretty much impossible.

I've given up on this Certano bender and am returning it. I spent three whole evenings trying to mitigate the design problems of the plate and QC issues. I burned through three-plus packs of strings bc of broken strings and because they don't tell you about how wound vs plain thirds affect things.

I will say Swift has written stuff I like, which is not something I can say of Mayer. I think Evermore and Folklore are pretty great.

But their basic schtick is the same, musically and lyrically.
