Employers: do not ask doctors or any health care providr for sick notes. Wastes time better spent looking after people who actually need health care. We are not part of your work attendance management system.
Pleased & amused that some docs send bills to employers directly for sick notes.

Heartbreaking story. U.S. woman with ALS died alone after seeking treatment in Saskatchewan. Dan Florizone, a former S.K. deputy minister of health, said it’s surprising the Goodenowe Center is unregulated, given the level of care it offers and the condition of clients.

Gender-affirming care saves lives
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.

The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.
