Hij lag vrij lang op de stapel omdat nadat ik hem had gekocht ik de niet hele positieve reviews las. Maar vond hem mooi. Het taalgebruik, de beschrijving van de vriendschap tussen Hai en de oude oosteuropese demente dame en de kameraadschap op zijn werk. Prima boek.

Dit duurde lang. En “I would hope that administration officials will reconsider their approach” klinkt alsof er een verkeerde oplossing werd gekozen voor een probleem. Maar het probleem is verzonnen.
