At the end of the summer season Cheltenham Lido drains down the pool and re-fills for winter cold water swimming. But before that, they open it to dogs for the weekend. It's Mabel's favourite day of the year.

Need to cheer up and load the kiln with this lot. The previous firing's pots have got some plucking on their bases (where the clay has stuck to the kiln shelf) for some reason. So that's a bit disheartening.

Shelves full of glazed pieces ready to go in the kiln. They look pale blue and velvety but will be a,glossy dark blue when fired.

That's very sad. I have almost nothing from my mother who died when I was 18. If you lived in the same house and in pre text times, there was very little you'd write to each other. A couple of signatures on birthday cards, a diary. Memories though.

To me, advertisers will want to get a cross section of people in their adverts to represent as many as possible.

Bigots for some reason seem to think the % should represent society. It’s stupid.

But then again focusing on people’s race in adverts, areas or tube carriages, to me is bizarre.

As Toby Young points out, Black people are over-represented in advertising. He somehow forgot to mention they are over-represented in poverty, unemployment and homelessness statistics too.
