I laughed at this harder than I should have 🤣

My nine year old daughter said she wanted to trade bodies with her mom. Her mom said no. I told my wife that they could learn from each other if they shared a Freaky Friday. Except my 9 yo in an adult body would probably drive off a cliff and accidentally kill herself...

When Luke finally answers the call to adventure, we’re over 40 minutes into the movie. In most films this would happen at the 30 minute mark. It’s a longer journey to get to the end of Act One, but so much is covered with this intro to a galaxy far, far away.

Our first look at the hero of #StarWars comes at 17 minutes into the film. I always thought the original was awkwardly paced in terms of storytelling. Lucas front-loads the movie with prologue and world building, giving us a faster paced adventure and finale. Still all in 2 hours!

You’ve been Kidnapped. The Characters from the Last TV Show You Watched are trying to Rescue You. Who’s coming to save You?

I think I'm okay, if Thundarr doesn't mistake me for a wizard.

You know how you might be taking a selfies, and when your back is turned, your toaster becomes possessed with the tortured soul of a 15th century disgraced monk who’s out for revenge?

Well, it happened again.

I second this!
The Making of Star Trek, a film by Ken Burns
I figure Ken Burns has one, maybe two big documentary series in him before he fully retires. What do you think they should be? My votes include Football, Hip-Hop, World War 1, Reconstruction (though Skip Gates did this one well), Iraq/Afghanistan, 19th Century Expansionism.

Definitely a First World problem, Al! This is the news I actually like.
We’re living through crazy times - it’s getting to the point where you can’t even go to an Al Jardine show with Eric Idle without being dragged up on stage to sing “Barbara Ann”!

With the discontinuation of the penny, it’s easy to say our government is truly cents-less.

This was something that should have happened in 1980! Especially considering the comic book people involved with the show!

Here is what I would KILL to do: I want to run a #StarTrek series that runs 26 episodes a season. I want the same budget of TNG, adjusted for inflation. I want a writers room of passionate fans & skilled writers.

I wouldn’t have a season long plan. Each story self-contained. Michael Piller logic.

It’s amazing how well this works!

It was four years ago that I decided to cover “Thanksgiving in the Land of Oz” for this season. My show dropped one day after “Wicked For Good”.

The only explanation is that someone knew about my episode, and wanted to capitalize on my insane popularity to increase box office. It all makes sense!

I found that in my research, but I think this is the first I’ve seen of the animation style. Great stuff!
"Tales Of The Wizard Of Oz" was made in 1961 by Crawley Films in Canada for the American company Videocraft (which would later be renamed Rankin/Bass)

Rankin/Bass produced the "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" tv special that premiered in 1964

Judging from this picture, I contend that Cyndi Lauper is the feral version of Madonna.

I do love me some Muppets!
Speaking of 'Turkey'.

You are going to be screaming the word 'Turkey' after you watch this review of "The Muppets' Wizard of Oz" movie that premiered on ABC's "The Wonderful World of Disney" in 2005.
