Just turned on the TV to see AMC showing *Halloween*, slightly cropped from the original aspect ratio. Looked about 2:1 to my eye.

Now they’re showing *Halloween II*, and it’s cropped all the way to 1.78:1.

It’s 2025 and I don’t understand why they can’t just show movies properly on TV.

One of the things we have to do is require police officers to wear slightly doofy uniforms again. Powder blue, short sleeves, conductor’s hats, dress shoes, stripes down the legs. It won’t solve everything, but dressing like a mass murderer causes more mental harm than you’d think, too.

A useful question in business meetings is “what problem are we trying to solve?”

I haven’t seen many examples of actual problems that A.I. is an actual solution for.
