I don't know who needs to hear this, but...

just because you did a racist thing that does not mean you have to keep doing racist things

just because you had racist thoughts, that doesn't mean you can't unlearn that

Don't be lazy. Go be better.

Grief doesn’t call before it comes over. It doesn’t even bother ringing the bell. It just barges in and plops down on the couch without giving any indication of how long it intends to stay.

Writing is an act of rebellion.
Writing is an act of creation.
Writing is an act of salvation.
Writing is an act of exploration.
Writing is an act of emotion.
Writing is an act of confession.
Writing is an act of speculation.
Writing is an act of reflection.
Keep writing.

I find that readers are asking me for audiobooks before they are asking me for print books. When I put books in print, I sell more ebooks, it’s very confusing. But most authors are not living off print sales.

Friendly reminder that I have a book called ZEAL and it’s coming out in April. Pre-orders help authors. That’s all 😌
Quite seriously: when you see an author endlessly promote their book, and you get tired of it, remember that only a small fraction of their network sees any single post, let alone their network’s network. And be kind to each other.
This is why the folks complaining about self-promotion need to get bent. Finally bought this because it struck my fancy at the moment, excited to dig in.

Dear President Biden,

In the spirit of Dark Brandon, please use one of your Executive Orders to CANCEL ALL STUDENT DEBT.

That way, if trump wanted to reverse it, he'd have to disappoint all those families and reinstate all that debt.

You have immunity.
Just do it.

Basically, when I read YA I want teens to fall in love with teens. I loved this one by @ravynnkamia.bsky.social where a Black girl with big artistic dreams studies in Paris and meets a grumpy-like French soccer player who is also her tutor. So cute and made for foodies #Blackbooksky #booksky
