Using a pair of tiny silver scissors, I unpicked the hem and climbed inside, where I proceeded to refashion the various pieces until they became a comfortable nest for my own dreams, then I cut star-shaped holes to let my dreams fly. Sometimes there’s a flamethrower.

tonight in my elfgame (IN PERSON EDITION): aeon-spanning cold open, dove in the hole, split the party(!), undid the source of a lotta trouble, sent a lich AND a dragon home, got cubed, slew six ways a character who was mostly an extended bit, and made a demon lord an offer he couldn't refuse!

I forget from whom, but I got the advice to make a badge of my pfp and it is phenomenally effective!
Next year at #PAXU I’m wearing and bringing some “Hi, my @ is…” stickers to share because I was pants at recognizing people’s faces, but their usernames clicked!

The bingo board felt revolutionary. Both in the ways it let players frame the arc they wanted for their knight and how it shaped play.

i knew it was a mistake to post about the dragon game but god the engagement i get is literally demonstrably worse when I do--not less engagement, WORSE engagement, from the most annoying people on earth

tonight in my 🔺game! chatted with godlike beings at a hot pot shop, laid cards on the table, gave the GM therapy, opined on the status quo, lasered a brainworm, got raided by cops and accused of murder/fraud, called in favors from JB Pritzker, a priest, a dog, and a cat, and rigged a slot machine

Apocalypse World is far and away my favorite game, period, and this new edition is *even better*.
today in my dragon game: overwhelmed a robot army, caught the interest of a roc while climbing a sheer cliff, saved a dwarf with bird calls and hoisting, nailed down our funeral plans, bear-baited a mutant with magical cancer, and found a pool with crystals in it--classic!

We've never played Apocalypse World on @friends-table.bsky.social, and yet I think it's pretty fair to say that the show (and a big part of my career) relies on its existence.
