Morning Blues

In more ways than one, captured this yesterday morning. A 2 min exposure to soften everything out from the water to the sky. The moody light fits this scene perfectly.

Morning blues at the Groynes in Portobello, an exposure of 2 mins has smoothen out the water and the sky looks soft and fluffy. With the wooden structure blending perfectly in the blues.

Flooded Jetty - Coniston

I was stood shin deep in very, very cold water for this one as I'd forgotten my wellies.

A photo taken looking down a jetty towards the centre of a lake and the opposite shoreline. The water level is so deep that the deck boards are covered by the water. The water has been smoothed over with the use of a long exposure which gives it a milky appearance. closer to the camera the deck boards are visible. The posts of the jetty stand clear of the water and seem to converge in the distance. A sign hang from the first posts and it says that the pier is closed for repair. On the horizon a cloud is little up by the sun casting orange light on the water of the lake towards the camera.

Time for a Splash

This is an image of a place I call the Birdcage, its a structure just off the coast of Earlsferry in Scotland. This image was captured with some lovely golden light behind the structure and a big wave has splashed up to the right of the image, spraying water and giving the scene more impact.

An adult male Iberian Lynx on the hunt for rabbits, spending 10 hours a day in a hide in the Spanish winter over the last 4 days, for a 5 min glimpse of this apex predator was an absolute incredible experience.

What an opportunity to capture a fog inversion above the Firth of Forth. One of those moments where I wonder if I'll be that lucky again. If not, acht well im happy with this.

I spotted some low fog whilst travelling to visit family at the weekend. So i had to stop and fly the drone. What a moment to capture. The sun creeping through some moody clouds, really added to the scene.

A monochrome photo of a white painted wooden lighthouse on stilts. A long exposure was used to capture the movement of the clouds whilst also smoothing out the texture of the water to create an dream like scene.

The old Bridge at the Hermitage - queues to go walking in this place stretch down the dual carriage way. It's location that a few years ago was quite all the time and mostly only known to locals. Last year 88,000 people visited. This year over 350,000. It's under intolerable pressure.

A collection of images taken in the woods this week. I have always been drawn to how the trees converge in the sky. With the added golden leaves and light, slap on a wide angle and and get as wide as possible. Pretty sure there are all at 15mm. Taken on the #canonrf1530mm.

Hey, I captured this on Sunday morning. The sunrise was pretty incredible but I was drawn to the top down images of the patterns in the sand. I loved the blues from the little streams of water with a little hint of green from some seaweed at the top.

Patterns from above, i love flying my dji mini 3 drone above the coast. As you often find an abundance of lovely patterns. A bit like this image, well have the warm hues, with the turquoise water leading its way back to the sea. With a little hint of green from some seaweed.

#ICM is about the movement of camera and how you move it. You can just move the camera up and down and say its #Art. Through development you can pick up real natural movements. This one is just done by your breathing in and out. More in alt text. Video in comments #photography #EastCoastKIn #Stunday
Autumn colour over a long exposure. The technique I used on this one is to hold the camera still and just breathe into you lungs and breathe out. Naturally the camera goes up slowly and then moves down again. It give a slow movement but I feel rather affective. 2.5 seconds 135mm F14 50iso.

I do very much like zooming in and capturing the flow of water from a waterfall, followed by the swirls and bubbles at the bottom as the pair meet again.

The Lookout

Captured this rather moody scene at the weekend. This place was pretty dark and moody which was incredible. I kept wondering if I add the rail or not, but i did on this shot and I actually like it. Haunting feels.

Moody ramblings on Saturday, this is a dark mysterious place with a lookout towards 2 waterfalls along the river Devon, which is just outside the Crook of Devon. This is a dark, slightly haunting scene. Little touches of autumn but mostly dark greens which give it a dark feel.

Good morning folks, an image taken whilst up in Dunkeld a few weeks ago. I loved the way the river looks like Glass. There were plenty of leaves on the river, so i went with a long exposure to capture their movement.
