Did Balls just call Mauthausen, Munchausen?

Yes he did, sigh.

Whats the real problem though. It’s so many people still willing to give Starmer the benefit of the doubt, and that’s besides the pandering to Trump, the genocide, the persecution of immigrants. Almost like people will not be that bothered when the fascists take over.

Is the ground rent really the major problem though? Isn’t the bigger issue service charges increasing well beyond inflation that’s making places unsellable?

Not going to beat about the bush, this is a step in the right direction, but it's just a drop when it comes to reigning in the greedy landlords. Hopefully it’s not just a token, they need to properly show they represent us if they want to halt the collapse of their government.
The government will announce a cap on ground rents paid by leaseholders in England and Wales on Tuesday morning.

Labour's 2024 election manifesto promised to "tackle unregulated and unaffordable ground rent charges"👏

Cap for ground rent in England and Wales due to be announced
The government has not confirmed what the cap will be, but campaigners have said they believe £250 a year is likely.

Bike friends: This is something you can organize wherever you are, in solidarity with us in Minneapolis.

Plan a unity ride for this Saturday. Bring your community together.
On Saturday we ride for Alex Pretti
1:00pm at Washburn Fair Oaks Park

From Angry Catfish:
“We're asking folks to host rides and come together. Bike shops and non-profits, cycling orgs and alt cycling collectives, city and rural. We are many but we stand together as one.”

There can be no doubt anymore.

Trump and his ilk have fully embraced fascism.

Some, like Miller, are true believers. They delight in its cruelty and deception.

Some, like Trump and the oligarchs, see it as their vehicle to maintain wealth and power.

Whatever their reasons, they’re all in.

Now everyone has an alternative to Labour’s infighting, the Tories’ greed and Reform’s racism. Support the Greens, join the Greens, vote for the Greens
Labour MPs are rightly calling today's decision 'petty factionalism'. It's time to stop being disappointed in them, and instead join the only campaign that can beat Reform in this by-election:
