The Snowflake challenge has been so much fun this year, and reminded me what a great place Dreamwidth is. A quiet oasis away from algorithms where people can have proper conversations and control over their content. Bliss, honestly.

TALK ABOUT A COMMUNITY SPACE YOU LIKE. It doesn’t need to be your favorite, or the one where you spend the most time (although it certainly can be). But talk about that space and how it helps support fannish community.

I’ve said it before - fan fic is cookies someone made at home and brought in to share. Yes, they should be labeled for allergies (tagged). No, you don’t leave a nasty review if you don’t like them - they weren’t professionally baked, they were made by your peer ❤️ Build community, not negative clout

I'm not sure which of you need to hear this, but:

If you push yourself to your limits and burn out for a company, you are trading years of your future productivity for minor gains in the present.

Burning out will _fuck you up_, it's like brain fog or depression, and it takes years to recover

Does not give a single fuck. Show this horse a mountain of sheer cliffs and they will chug right up it without complaint. Sometimes not where you expect and smaller than others, but maintains incredible work ethic, durability, and ubiquitousness
