Dr. Jones' testimony to the UK COVID inquiry about the IPC leaders whose arrogant ignorance killed so many could be copy-pasted into a Canadian inquiry.

As it's all a repeat of how the same power-hungry opportunists botched SARS-CoV-1, legal accountability is necessary.

Finland ended homelessness with a housing first strategy that gave people apartments before they secured employment

Now they’re proposing a 4 day work week and 6 hour work days

True work life balance

Meanwhile in the US, people work two jobs and can’t afford food or healthcare.

I just got a "Decomputing" talk accepted by a very tech-focused business conference (as a Keynote even) and a labor rights organization who wanted me to propose a talk instantly went for the "The Luddites were right" suggestion. Two things that a few months ago would not have been possible I think.

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

FYI, apprenticeships are now run by Group Training Organisations, with employment being *up to the apprentice*, so ZERO guarantee of ongoing employment or completion. Why would you bother?
When I did my apprenticeship, it was with the Govt and had guaranteed 4 years employment to complete.
Tradie nightmare exposed as Australia faces horror shortage: 'Very concerning'

Some things never change - 37 years ago I qualified as a fitter and turner despite every hurdle thrown my way. Then, they made the apprenticeship system insecure and unreliable and wonder why people struggle. And oh look, cheap skilled migrants.

Isabella was told she had to apply to uni to graduate from high school
Where are all the tradies? The construction industry says there's a massive shortage and it comes down to young people being told they have to go to university.

Its time women went on a sex strike.
Any judge jandling rape had better be so careful in what they say, to prevent having their judgement overturned, in a climate where rape seems to be becoming acceptable.

PS its been cold where we live and lawn's had maybe 1 cut.

I'd spent years getting the thistles and clover down to a dull roar and that's been undone in one fell swoop.

They ended up patients sitting on chairs in corridors with paramedics as too cluttered with trollies. All States knew this was coming.
