sentimental value was, i thought, a really terrific movie about the dichotomy between art and artist and the ways we all fall short. beautiful little movie, highly recommend

they’re winning off the field
Dan Quinn has drawn a distinction between performance issues and cultural ones.

The #Commanders record is 3-8. How would he evaluate their culture? www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/...

what if i absolutely hate sports better with a passion and don’t even play fantasy sports anymore because i find the conversation so fucking annoying
For CNN I'm looking to talk to young men (feel free to interpret "young" broadly) who are actively sports betting sober—as in, you made a conscious decision to abstain for your wellbeing or you quit gambling—but are still sports fans. If that's you: Hannah[dot]keyser[at]cnn[dot]com

wonder when we're gonna hear something about who's getting the nats' broadcast rights for the next three years. five months ago i'd have bet on mlb but now i'm not so sure - rsns have stabilized somewhat, the subscriber model isn't as lucrative as rights fees, and the lerners chase every dollar

raschcast snubbed once again. woke hollywood can’t handle our uncensored opinions about how the nats might not trade mackenzie gore this offseason
The list of eligible podcasts is looking pretty bleak 😟

a qo is a one-year deal, which means all these players would become free agents again during that possible work stoppage. this says nothing except for the fact that none of these guys were getting a better aav than $22.05 million this season
I'm already seeing some takes, but I'm really not sure we have enough information yet from this offseason to say that players are particularly nervous about a work stoppage — four out of 13 players accepting a QO says more about who was offered the QO than it does anything about next offseason
November 18, 2025 at 9:29 PM
because the cba is up and that’s what happens. the “work stoppage” will happen when basically no work is done. unless everyone’s much much dumber than i think they are (not impossible) it’ll be fine

yes it does, and it’s made all the better (just like better call saul) by listening to the insider podcast, which gives you an idea of how much everyone involved in the show is just at the top of their craft and carefully considering everything they do
pluribus rocks holy shit lol

and conversely, his injury was a big reason they didn't survive 2015
I said for ages that Stammen was probably the secret weapon of the 2013 Nats in terms of surviving the season
looking up stammen’s 2012 game logs. he went more than an inning in 34 of his 59 appearances, including 2+ innings in 28 of them. had a 2.34 era. teams are trying to recreate this bulk guy role nowadays but with plus stuff guys instead of 92 mph sinkerballers. it’s a crime against nature
