Brianna Ghey was not murdered in cold blood by a phone. Or a social media app. She was murdered in cold blood with knives plunged into her 28 times by two 15-year-olds fed a constant stream of hate and dehumanization by UK corporate media and the UK government.
Two teenagers were radicalized by the transphobic political climate into seeing a 15 year old girl as less than human. They killed the girl, and then the girl's grieving mother chose to embark on a moral panic crusade against "self-harm", acquitting the actual perpetrators of her daughter's demise.

1) even if you love & trust them now, have a backup plan + emergency fund they can't touch
2) don't put everything in their name even if they have good reasons
3) boundary violations = red flag
4) emotional / verbal abuse is still abuse

Kat is totally right about this - but also consider donating to small food pantries and food rescues in your area. They are often working with populations who for whatever reason the big food banks don't reach. Many large food banks require ID to access food for example.

What's sick is that I work at w@lm¢rt and I see so many things HP branded and they never sell well anymore! Why are we still pushing this branding so hard? Who is actually asking for this? Just accept that she's destroyed the love for this franchise by being such a wretched person.
