Russia’s full-scale invasion began 4 years ago. It began in winter, and so this winter is the 5th. And, for civilians, the worst. Russia launches missiles and drones at energy infrastructure to force Ukrainians to endure the freezing cold. Here's how you can help

It’s a lot.

ICE murders & kidnappings, tariffs, erasing history, assaults on LGBTQ+/people of color/women, gutting laws on our environment, wars. Oh, and Epstein Files.

it’s meant to overwhelm you.

Don’t let it.

Pick 1 or 2 fights. Focus there. We’ve got your back for the rest.

I remember watching the initial broadcast. RIP MTV!
I’ve spent this morning morbidly watching the MTV channels close down and the final songs played were:
MTV Music - Video Killed the Radio Star (Buggles)
Club MTV - Don’t Stop the Music (Rihanna)
MTV 90s - Goodbye (Spice Girls)
MTV 80s - Together in Electric Dreams (Oakey and Moroder)

I completely agree -- a theatrical run should be mandatory for Oscar submissions.
Stellan Skarsgård agrees that Netflix films shouldn't qualify for the Oscars without a full theatrical run

"That’s the only way to make the theaters survive ... Without cinema, you don’t have any Netflix"

His last truly great record, a 1972 masterpiece. Powerful, monolithic and hook-heavy with brilliant no-nonsense anti-patriarchy, pro-feminist lyrics. Stan Bronstein's sax is magnificent, Lennon's voice awesome.

Who intentionally creates roadblocks to feed their own people who need it most? North Korea, and now the U.S.
President Trump’s administration asked a federal appeals court Friday to block a judge’s order that it distribute November’s full monthly SNAP benefits amid a U.S. government shutdown, even as at least some states said they were moving quickly to get the money to people. https://to.pbs.org/3LtvAqj

Enlightening lecture tonight. Thank you for coming to Portland!
A year ago, I launched my book #OnFreedom in a war zone – in Kharkiv, Ukraine, 35 seconds from Russian artillery. Today, I'm launching the paperback in Portland, Oregon. Which is NOT a war zone. There is a difference in the real world between what's a war and what is not, and between truth and lies.

Someone want to tell Mikey here that 86% of all SNAP benefits go to households that include a child, an elderly person, or a person with disabilities?

Or that almost 40% of SNAP recipients are children?

And that Whites account for 37% of SNAP recipients?

Americans would be wise to understand what the Stasi was. The East German secret police "sought to infiltrate every institution of society and every aspect of daily life," with files on 6 million citizens, more than 1/3rd of the population. The Trump regime is building its version of the Stasi. 1/2

Nothing to celebrate.
You don't have to judge Columbus by the standards of today. His tenure as governor of Hispaniola was so horrific that he was dragged back to Spain in chains to answer for his many crimes.

Plus he never set foot on any land that would ever be a part of the United States of America.

Read this twice!
"We took the freedom of speech away," says the president
Trump: "We took the freedom of speech away because that's been through the courts and the courts said you have freedom of speech, but what has happened is when they burn a flag it agitates and irritates crowds."
