It's depressing to hear that Star Wars Insider will soon cease publishing, so I wanted to post the first issue that I ever read. It was the classic Mara Jade cover promoting her inclusion in the trading card game (which I never played) and also covering her recent nuptials.

Just watched SNEAKERS with a first-timer. It's just such a great flick! Smart, funny, and entertaining as all hell. Redford at his crowd-pleasing best.

Style lessons from Robert Redford, one of the most stylish men in the last century. 🧵

Redford is one of the all-time greats. I've loved many of his movies since I was a kid. He had a good long life, and left an incredible legacy.
Robert Redford has sadly passed away, leaving behind an indelible mark on cinema.

The Oscar-winning actor became a screen icon with performances in Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid, Three Days Of The Condor, and All The Presidents Men.

You're welcome

I don't expect anyone to understand me, but I felt this in my bones. Me, an American, divided from that battle by a millennium, but who has studied history and poetry.

We can communicate across all the centuries.

Though it may not be scholarly of me, I cant help but mourn the death of King Harold

Charlie Kirk spent his life‘s work and all of his energy and time targeting out-groups while arguing for a world in which gun massacres would be easy to enact, plentiful, and inevitable, and he became famous and wealthy doing it, and we’re now not supposed to mention that because it’s not polite.

Judging by the shamefully opportunistic & politicizing rhetoric of some rightwingers on Twitter, & their cynical use of Charlie Kirk’s horrific murder for political point scoring, it’s almost as if Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman wasn’t murdered by a Trump-voting MAGA maniac just 12 weeks ago.

One of the all-time greats, who delivered legendary performances in so many films. No matter how big or small the part, Graham always made it memorable. Oscar nominated for Dances With Wolves, but my favorite performance of his was as Walter Crow Horse in Thunderheart

Some of my friends really believe that, like it or not, AI is the new world and we all have to find a way to live in it, to which I've only been able to say that if that's how the world's changing, then it's going to change without my involvement and I'll quietly fade out with the old world

Once you understand that a driving principle of American politics is there is no such thing as a compassionate solution that's cheap enough or a cruel solution that's too expensive, a lot of things click into place.
I think it's possible that Trump's illegal invasion of DC will really in some sense "get rid of the tents." If that happens, elite commentators will rush to praise him and attribute it to the effectiveness of cruelty, and not to the fact that they spent millions of dollars per tent cleared.
