Commentator: Newcastle haven’t won at Anfield for 30 years.
Me: That must be the 1970s
Commentator: we have to go back to 1994 for their last win here.
Ladies and gentlemen, the ‘90s were 30 going on 40 years ago. Happy Sunday.

@stevedarlingmp.bsky.social how much compensation should be paid to those people who were given "false hope" that your party would abolish university tuition fees in the 2000s and were "utterly betrayed" by your tripling of fees?

Those who go to university end up massively subsidising those who don't, and crushing graduates with enormous debt is a ridiculous false economy.

2020: That time Labour leader Keir Starmer said he would scrap university tuition fees

I made the mistake of checking this spreadsheet and now I've got to revise my #thetenx5 list which was almost down to 50. Don't be like me.
#THETENX5 just got real.

This is official - everything picked on an advance list so far.

I will try to keep it up to date during picking season - it'll also include songs chosen only as HMs.

"Reform's press release notes he was 'first in his family' to go to university – a ‘fact’ that raised eyebrows given his father, who was awarded a CBE by the Queen for his services to the NHS, acquired a Master’s in Business Administration in the 1980s, and a PhD during Tony Blair’s first term."
Labour's best hope in Gorton & Denton? Matt Goodwin
This by-election was supposed to be a referendum on Starmer - but it could turn into one on Reform’s divisive populist

I presume that Rachel Reeves also believes that it's wrong for people who go to university to bear the costs for those who don't, like, for example, universal credit, etc? Strange position for a member of the "Labour" party to take
Rachel Reeves, "It is not right that people who don't go to uni are having to bear all the costs for others to do so"

Oli Dugmore, "If Reeves wants to make the argument that you shouldn't be paying for things that you don't use, there will be a lot of pensioners who don't get a pension"

Brianna met her killer at school. The killers used Tor to watch snuff videos on the dark web. The BBC and Sky initially omitted that was transgender from their coverage. The Tory party wanted her to be buried under her deadname.

This is surprisingly common. I once drafted a saucy email to my other half and for reasons which I still can't work out, sent it to my boss. As soon as I pressed send, I realised what I'd done.

Ran fast as hell to their office, shouted "don't open that email!!" and they turned to me and smiled...
