Half Life (1998) is now as old as the first ever arcade game, Computer Space (1971) was when Half Life was released.

Penny Arcade for November 18th 1998, 27 years ago today, was our very first comic strip. Thank you guys for almost 30 years of supporting the stuff we make. You have given me the best job in the world.

I legitimately think this article misses the mark, because Canadians are not avoiding travel out of some principled boycott of the USA over tariffs.

Canadians who are avoiding the USA are seeing images of masked government thugs kidnapping people and teargassing children.

Excellent thread (as always) from Michael Kofman on the latest battlefield shifts in the Ukraine War.
As the situation in Pokrovsk becomes critical, and AFU reinforces the pocket to stabilize the flanks, there's considerable attention now to how this battle is unfolding. A few thoughts on the situation. 1/ (DeepStateMap)

I've been hosting monthly Q&A sessions (more or less informal lectures) with friends. I've recorded the last two and put them up on my YouTube. The first recording covers Israel/Palestine and Ancient Sumer and the second covers The Cold War. You can view them at: www.youtube.com/@shaunnmckin...

I just wanted to make sure you saw this video by Josh Strife Hayes about lower view counts. He's found a correlation with desktop pc views in longform content dropping precipitously.
