The NDP leadership race has a guy who wears a straw hat everywhere, so that's exciting for anybody who would like a serious alternative to the left of the Liberal Party.

Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

These aren't pedestrians, it shouldn't be legal for them to be on a sidewalk. Governments have got to start cracking down on this stuff. Heavy fines on any company that tries to pull this kind of thing.
Just as you thought food delivery companies couldn't inflict any more misery on society:

Instead of using lowly-paid gig economy contractors to deliver groceries, they're replacing humans with robots, who, in turn, force humans off the pavement into road traffic.

One of the most narcissistic and annoying trends in social media is when a news thing happens and people react by saying, "I'm not surprised."

Rather than talking about whatever the news story is, it's a reaction that just immediately makes it about themself and their sense of superiority.

I don't think this is about appeasing Alberta. I think the Alberta MOU part of an ongoing effort to convince Canadians that the prime minister cares about the economy more than anything else.

And if you can pull that off, you actually might pick up seats.
Appeasing Alberta is a fool’s gambit. It never pays off.

The most American thing in the world is making their most important holiday basically a celebration of eating a really enormous meal, and scheduling it on a Thursday so that they can leave Friday open for an orgy of consumerism.

The most satisfying people to block are the ones who show up in your replies and say something sarcastic and derisive.

You spend 3 seconds trying to think of a response and then you realize that you have the option to simply never spend another shred of cognitive energy on this person ever again.

It'll be interesting if Carney gains or loses seats in the next election. Both seem like plausible outcomes to me.
