It is also the case that some people get their shots but antibody levels decline over time. I know parents who took their kids in & asked that MMR titers be taken. GP rolled his eyes & assured them it was unnecessary. They insisted, & the titers came back low. It turned out boostes were needed.
Well, if this is how they treat their own inner circle, you can well imagine how vigorously the BC Conservatives will defend the rest of us from state & corporate intrusions into our privacy.
Everything points him in that direction. His personality is already similar, he is constantly trying to reinvent himself as a winner (or what his focus groups tell him looks like a winner), & he is almost incessantly dog-whistling to that part of the CPC that is openly or secretly MAGA.

Authoritarians need this kind of conflict for so many reasons. In addition to those you mention, they also need it in order to appear necessary, virtuous, admirable, deserving - since w/out staged demonstrations their *actual* personal qualities are so obviously negligible &, often, repugnant.
