At least the French have a semblance of a backbone, unlike the jellyfish that is the UK government.
French Foreign Ministry: “The removal of Maduro from power and the violation of sovereignty constitute a serious act of aggression against the dignity of the Venezuelan people and their right to determine their own future.

I wonder if the UN / EU / UK government will actually condemn the USA invasion of Greenland when it happens?

Putin in Ukraine, Trump in Venezuela.
Two sides of the same coin using military force to achieve what they can't get via legal or diplomatic routes while the rest of the world basically looks on and does nothing.

The Packers have turned the final five minutes into experimental theatre:

Dominating for 55 mins
Suddenly forgetting how football works
Inventing new ways to cause emotional damage
Letting the opponent score like it’s a charity event
Fumbling something important for dramatic effect

US puts £31bn tech ‘prosperity deal’ with Britain on ice.

Trump doesn't honour agreements. It's about dominance.

Demands that UK ends digital services tax on US tech companies and it's food safety rules which bar certain US agricultural products.

Corporate welfare is out of control.

One example - Drax produces electricity by burning trees, most expensive electricity, UK's biggest single polluter.

In 2024, Drax had £1.06bn operating profit, paid £100m dividend, £300m in share buyback.

Received billions in subsidies for decades. Why?

Britain is so short of dentists that an MP's 87-year-old mother attempted to pull her own teeth out with pliers.

Lack of planning, education and training

Obstacles put in the way of foreign educated/trained dentists, improves private profits.

It profits by ripping off customers.
Pays dividends, doesn't invest.
Since March TW borrowed £1.47bn.
