#SaveTheDate An anonymous world chronicle originally composed in 713 CE, likely by a Syriac monk from Apamea, has remained almost unknown until now. In his Gotha Manuscript Talk, Adrian Pirtea speaks about the rediscovery of the only surviving copy! Wednesday, 26 November 2025, 6:15 CET

Save the date! 15 Nov 2026: Voyager 1 should reach its first full light-day of travel away from Earth, we can wish it many more!

I'd call it a significant milestone but perhaps we need new words for new frontiers 🫶

Followup to the emergency phone number discussion recently @kenwhite.bsky.social & @iamagoose.bsky.social, here's the official ITU reply to my query about standardizing on a single emergency number (there are ~15 globally).
TL DR they promote enabling 112 and 911, but it's entirely voluntary.

Today is 92nd anniversary of Holodomor. Soviet Russia inflicted a man made famine on Ukraine that killed millions. Today we are trying to wipe the country off the map.

The only difference is the USA is on our side now.

NAFO friends, is anyone collecting tablets for the drone units in Ukraine?

Near 🇨🇦 Niagara Falls or Toronto would be most helpful, but sending by Meest is possible too.

Time Immemorial turns 750: The Medieval law that froze history at 1189
You’ve probably heard of the phrase “time immemorial” as a general term for events that happened a very long time ago, but in fact, it has a specific meaning, and this year is its 750th anniversary.

Who could have guessed that the government group shooting priests in the face with pepperball rounds were actual, intentional fascists.

The 🇺🇲 government has chosen violence already, hopefully soon the 🇺🇲 people can face that reality - and actively reject it.
