As I spent a while with amateurish IR, this is the thing that bothers me the most. Yes, the US has invaded and intervened before, but there was some work-around with rules. The rulebook is gone. There are no longer allies.
Also, I don't think this is about oil. It's bigger (and simpler) than that.

Keeping off social media today I've rearranged my apartment. Moved the shelf with all my consoles and the media PC so I have better access to them and I can easily see what is happening. Cabling is still a mess, but I got the Dreamcast, media PC and Saturn working again!

FINALLY!
After what is now literally years of trying to get my bank to sort out these issues, I linked my bank to my Japanese credit card.
FINALLY I can not only buy things from Steam directly, but it seems the large number of Japan only codes now work on Steam as a result!

2025 was odd. I achieved very few of my goals, but they were all made at a time before my work load increased. Now, I am making far more realistic goals.
This year was far more chaotic from a Japan perspective. Food has gone up a lot, and xenophobia has gone ballistic.

Last day of the year.

Space Marine 2 was... interesting. It is a good follow up to the original, and Titus is still the lad.
I had to play it on my second / console PC though. For some reason the game did not like the GPU. Once stable it was good though.

I have never played it.
Part of me is curious, but part of me is cautious of the hype.
Also, some folks who are more "fun" focused seemed to really, really hate it.

I really enjoy political theory and I have owned this on Steam for about a year (thanks Humble Bundle).
I have never played it.

Only because I saw questions on another platform regarding this:
Why AMD GPUs? Why do I stick with them despite the issues?
Two simple reasons:
1: Linux drivers are way, way better for AMD
2: In Japan, AMD GPUs are at MSRP or less. Nvidia are about 20% above MSRP
Point 2 is the main reason tbh.

I very likely did not need this, but instead have some savings and I can see which way the wind is blowing with hardware.
Considering a bunch of the Nvidia super gpus are apparently cancelled, and they are going to cut production of their 16GB models, I took the plunge now.
