I’m Charlie Etheridge-Nunn, I write comics, reviews of RPGs, I take part in self-induced marathons of comics & books (X-Men, 2000 AD, Call of Cthulhu & Cyberpunk Red) and host a podcast about Star Trek called Casual Trek. I’m often found wandering the South Downs and coastal towns.

I genuinely thought this was a Trophy incursion for a moment.
The poster to Robert Eggers’ Werwulf. A close up of a grey wolf, so close you’re only really seeing its ears, neck and part of its back. There’s a little red on there by the ear and Werwulf is written in something close to the Trophy/Symbaroum font.

RPG prep for White Mountain Rescue!
A green notepad with a “The mountains are calling” sticker on it. Blank index cards (I need to find 1-2 sharpies) A location card with, “Picnic Spot” on it. Tarot-sized cards with moves on them. A mystery sheet with places for the mystery card and the missing character. There’s an outline of the Presidential Range dividing them from the different phases of play. Behind it are character playbooks which I’ve custom formatted for White Mountain Rescue. An index of NPC cards sorted by role or rescue. Yes, Tom Wambsgans from Succession is cast as David Umbargo. Wooden tokens which I’ve coated in a dark varnish as tokens for the scene clock on the mystery sheet. Also possibly as a reminder to people when they owe me a flashback.

It’s Casual Trek time and we’ve got some animated Star Trek shenanigans. In Prodigy’s “A Moral Star” where the kids put together all their training to do a Starfleet. Then in “Twovix” we get too many Tuvixes and a horrifying flesh katamari. #TrekSky #StarTrek

I’m not a big Midsomer Murders person, but the version performed at Eastbourne Theatre this afternoon was very good fun.
A stage with Midsomer County Badger’s Drift on it in a circle. The wall is painted to look like the countryside and there’s a house inside the circle which is actually animatronic, moving and shifting when we go between day & night.

Starting tomorrow, my daily X-Men marathon starts AVX, and won’t stop until late January. #DailyXMen
The place in the stairs where I have my current ‘to read’ stack of X-Men comics. At the front is Avengers: X-Sanction and it goes all the way to the end. Just visible are some single issues of Wolverine and Justice League United which need to go up to the X-Men and Legion boxes. I’m only missing Avengers (Vol 4) 29 from the crossover.

Well done competitors for completing this season of Deathmatch Island! We’re sorry there was no winner, but if competitors try to break the game then [REDACTED] does have to happen with extreme force.

I delivered my pitch for a Future Shock to a fantastic panel of Paul Cornell, Leah Moore and Rob Williams, under the watchful eye of Michael Molcher. It was a really fun experience and I received some really nice advice.
Molcher as he rules up the crowd by comparing this to gladiatorial battles. He’s nice though, unless you mention that puritans had buckles. Paul Cornell kept focus on the future shockness of Future Shocks and was very kind to us all. Leah Moore had some great reactions and good humour. Rob Williams looked distractingly like Patrick Willems at times and had some really considered opinions, even having some of us go back over some lines in our pitches.
