One thing people rarely talk about these days is just how opposed a large part of the Democratic establishment was to Mamdani running for mayor, to the point they propped up and funded his opposition

It's not like Mamdani was some avowed anti-capitalist or anything. He's doing basic popular reform
If you have read even a single history of fascism, you are already aware that one thing that its rise has in common in every case is an opposition party that refuses to intervene for fear of looking weak or putting the left into power
To quote one source:
“They’re terrified of being labeled anti–law enforcement. They want this to go away so they can talk about the cost of living more. Problem is, it’s not going away.”

Where was international law when the EU cheered on Trump’s special military operation in Venezuela?

Or during the invasion of Iraq? Or during the Gaza genocide? Or when you illegally sanctioned countries in the global south? Or when you cracked down on free speech and protest in your own streets?
Territorial integrity and sovereignty are fundamental principles of international law. They are essential for Europe and for the international community as a whole.

I’m simply going to redirect you to Google.....or your nearest asylum. There’s a 100% chance I’m doing the latter.

Naaah fuck that!!! I’m DEFINITELY doing the latter!

The longer elected officials in Minnesota stand by, do nothing, and lecture people not to "take the bait" as their citizens are brutalized, the more powerless and irrelevant they will become as people take matters into their own hands to protect their community.

Democrats haven’t “generated” defections. These people are opportunists who have for the moment lost favor with the regime. Providing them succor is just making them comfortable until they turncoat. All it will accomplish is cost democrats support from their own base. It is an idiotic strategy.
On vacation so can’t respond more, but I’ll just say that generating defections in the authoritarian coalition is critical to any pro-democracy struggle.

I don’t like or trust the Cheneys, the Chamber of Commerce, the CIA or John Bolton—but all could be part of a pro-democracy fight.

My favorite part of this is how games are going to take just as long to make and cost even more but now they transparently don’t have a human touch, because you, the consumer, deserve nothing more than soulless rehashes of everything that has ever existed.
Level-5's CEO claims that 80-90% of game coding is written by AI now.

The studio has disclosed that they extensively use AI, from everything from game code, assets, and character idea, dialogue, and narrative, which is then refined by humans.
