I’ve seen a lot of smugposting about people’s choice of platform over this and if you think you’re safe because you are not on X, or that you think people on there have themselves to blame, you’re both wrong and missing the point.
In some of these cases, the X users posting the photos that are being manipulated into nonconsensual images are simply taking those photos from other places online.
That means random people (sometimes kids), who aren't even on X, are having their photos posted. They aren't even users there.
