putting aside that the framing here is simply false, the only overarching narrative these guys ever support is that fascists were simply forced to be fascist by the permissive liberal. freedom is the cause of fascism in their telling.

We live in this weird interregnum where top government officials can lie without consequence and yet the press is still free enough to report that they’re lying.
It feels like one of those things has to give eventually.
