i think this attitude — that all opposition is illegitimate and nothing we do can be questioned— is probably pervasive in the white house and helps explain why they keep making terrible political choices
Putin pioneered this. No opposition is legitimate. Regular, decent, “ordinary” people cannot possibly be against us because only we represent “the real people.”

This is a great example of why I never watch the Sunday news shows any more. They know Blanche is just going to lie some more, but they still put him on and spread his lies. This kind of “journalism” stinks.

I’ve tried to track this potential number … seems to have really gotten rolling with a $9B potential figure given by the federal prosecutor at a press conference a few weeks ago (who has since resigned over a DOJ/ICE-shooting issue).
