Sorry, Trump, your support is collapsing and you’re panicking.

Right on cue, you’re deflecting from your failures with lies and conspiracy theories about me. Years of “investigations" have found nothing.

Get your goons out of Minnesota.

Can you imagine seeing your son murdered, in broad daylight on a public street, by your own government? Then that government launch a smear campaign against your child to justify the murder?

The parents of Alex Pretti don’t have to imagine.

I thought the thing about Trump forgetting the word for Alzheimer’s was a clumsy joke. Apparently not. It’s among several good anecdotes in this NY Mag takeout on Trump’s health. (It’s almost more about his nauseating sycophants.)

The evolution of the Both-Sides Journal.
This is an amazing article about the Trump Administration’s fascist tactics.
"Recent events have brought Trump’s governing style into sharper focus," Jonathan Rauch argues. "'Fascist' best describes it, and reluctance to use the term has now become perverse." theatln.tc/wVq7MFaa

Here's a diff from public violence of protest and repression from mid-1960s through mid-1970s.

-Some of the thugs were masked. Mainly the Klan

-I don't remember any of them dressing up as Nazis. (Probably because more people remembered WW II.) Now, w Noem/Miller/Trump support, Bovino paves the way
DHS is using explosives on people’s homes???

“Bovino has often used the phrase “turn and burn” to describe Border Patrol operations, a reference to actions like smashing windshields, using explosives to blow down the doors of homes and engaging in car chases.” www.nytimes.com/2026/01/26/u...

It wasn’t pro-ICE or pro-Trump spin at all. But it was copsplaining and made zero sense to have as the lead live interview. King actually did try to get him to criticize this a bit, but not really, which is probably why Mama MoJoe was disappointed.

Kinda wonder who decided to book this guest

So I’ve now seen this segment and CBS Mornings’ coverage of MN.

The good: Field reporting far more complete about what happened than Sat and Sun Evening News. Clearly states video contradicts DHS. Interview with Pretti friend.

The bad: Having on an ex-cop to try to “explain” why ICE shot
I have not seen the segment in question. I don’t know what the cop said or how King handled it, or what the overall tenor of the coverage was. I don’t pass this on as a report on how CBS Mornings handled MN, but rather one indication of how normie moms like mine are reacting to media coverage.

Minnesota has quickly rejected Pam Bondi's request for the state's voter rolls:

"The answer to AG Bondi's request is no. Her letter is an outrageous attempt to coerce Minnesota into giving the federal government private data on millions of U.S. Citizens in violation of state and federal law."

Minnesota’s secretary of state accused Bondi of making an “unlawful request a part of an apparent ransom to pay for our state’s peace and security.”

Moriarty: "I was working with the BCA all day. What happened at the scene was that the federal agents stood about 2 feet apart w/ large batons & they physically prevented the BCA from entering the scene ... DHS prevented them from even entering the scene with a lawfully signed, by a judge, warrant."

Wow: A top GOP candidate for governor in Minnesota just announced that he is dropping out from the race. *And* that he is leaving the Republican Party.

He blamed the GOP's "stated retribution on the citizens of our state."

Chris Madel ends GOP bid for governor, says he can’t support federal ‘retribution’ against Minnesota
His exit comes as some other Republicans have started to distance themselves from the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in the state.
