This goes back to an earlier point.
You cannot abolish your way out of fascism.
Fascism at the top infects the entire power structure.
Voters have to do better.
They have to not elect fascists.
There's no other fix.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

True that.
Certainly there are exceptions to the rule.
But the basic reality is that the most heavily armed second amendment fanatics are on trump's side.
Just a reality of american culture.
"The secret sauce of American gun-nuttery is that its largely white, rural, conservative exponents are wholly backed up by the very state that their Second Amendment ideology is supposed to oppose." www.liberalcurrents.com/dont-buy-a-g...
Don't Buy a Gun
Confrontational but nonviolent protest is more effective than the solipsistic comfort of an assault rifle.

The face of fascism.
The face of state sponsored murder.
Simple and clear.

2/3rds of the film’s staff asking NOT to be credited.
😂
Amazon’s MGM studios spent tens of millions, but the documentary is projected to make just $1M in its first week.

This comes as a new report from Rolling Stone details serious labor issues and two-thirds of the film’s staff requesting not to be credited at the end of the film. trib.al/Clr03cD

Good.
More of this.
No more playing nice with Trump poisoned institutions.
Just don't do the gig.

This guy is a legend.
Deservedly.
CNN reporting that a week before Alex Pretti was killed, 5 agents tackled him and he suffered a broken rib. CNN says he stopped his car after he saw ICE agents interacting with a family on foot and began to blow his whistle. Source tells CNN Pretti believed “That day he thought he was going to die”

They recruited sex criminals to be ICE agents.
Going after the “worst of the worst”?
They ARE the worst of the worst.
First, a report from the ACLU on detainees being beaten and tortured at the largest ICE detention facility in the country.

Now a report from the Ohio Immigrant Alliance on 30 identified ICE agents who were previously charged and convicted of violent and sexual crimes, most within the last 2 years.
ICE is riddled with sex criminals.

A January 2026 report by the Pacific Antifascist Research Collective identified 30 ICE and CBP agents with documented convictions and arrests, some for serious violent and sexual crimes.

At least 20 committed offenses with underage victims.

The trump administration is opening its arms wide for the next pandemic.
Last time, a million Americans died.
Next time?
With RFK jr on the team?
Sky’s the limit.
Nearly half of the databases that the CDC used to update regularly — surveillance systems that tracked public health information like Covid vaccination rates and hospitalizations for respiratory syncytial virus — have been paused without explanation, according to new research.
Dozens of CDC databases are not being updated — most related to vaccines, study finds
The agency plays a key role in tracking the disease spread and vaccination rates. Last year, it seemed to back away from some of that work, according to new research.

180 degree lie.
Par for the course.
Patel: We're not going after people and infringing on their freedom of speech, we're definitely not going after people and their second amendment right to bear arms.

Non violent protest.
Video documentation.
These two things in tandem are incredibly powerful.
In the video internet age, this stuff can turn the tide.
We are watching it happen in real time.

this is the paradox of politics.
power attracts pathological personalities.
Not every time.
But often enough that some seriously bad outcomes result.
"All governments suffer a recurring problem: Power attracts pathological personalities. It is not that power corrupts but that it is magnetic to the corruptible."

Yep.
Exactly this.
From WSJ today: "Health Insurance Is Now More Expensive Than the Mortgage for These Americans. Monthly health-insurance bills are rocketing higher for middle-income earners who rely on Obamacare." This is 100% because of Trump and GOP. This is how they paid for tax cut for their wealthy donors!!

The truth exists outside of your horserace both sides bullshit partisan media games.
Report the truth.
Not just the battle over predominant media narratives.
Do your JOB as journalists, in other words.
An unarmed american citizen was massacred in the street by Trumpist thugs.
That is what occurred.

Trump is the king of vice signaling.
Giving people a reason to feel great about being the worst version of themselves.
We are once again looking at the “night is day and day is night” principle.
Ideological division means what you consider evil they consider good.
And vice versa.
January 26, 2026 at 2:58 AM
Truly insane.
What seems to have occurred here is they took this guy's gun off his belt.
And then accidentally discharged it.
And the rest of the thugs reacted to their fellow agent negligently shooting that gun by massacring the unarmed man.
An incredible combination of evil and incompetence.

Capture and/ or kill.
If this is true (and that’s not a small if), it is reasonable to posit that Bezos is trying to offload the Post. Or kill it altogether.

Sports is a top driver of traffic and subscriptions for most news sites.

And we’ve seen how Bezos and Lewis have mangled the Opinion section.

America the shameless.
An insane, perfect encapsulation of it all:

The same day Trump’s agents kill a Veterans Affairs ICU nurse in broad daylight, the CEOs of Apple and Amazon join Trump to watch a private screening of a film about his wife directed by an alleged sexual abuser who was seen shirtless in the Epstein Files
