As I tend to do: I see a random game posted, I get curious and try to look it up. But in this case I can't find anything(?). Victor's Wikipedia and Mobygames entry doesn't list it. I can't find it on good old pre-enshitification psx data center. I tried Yahoo Auctions as well. I'm not finding it

saw a new big article suggest "Neither is the Frog a satire of anything in particular... The Frog is meaningless." the newer variety of copycat unicorns, bears, etc are random absurdity riffing on it, but there's a relevant backstory for the specific main/original frog style, see quoted 🧵 if curious

A peek at GAME FREAK (Yep, *that* Game Freak!) tips 'zine issue 22 from 1985 where the solution to arcade Time Gal is lovingly and painstakingly illustrated and written out scene-by scene. 💜

A scan of the photocopied zine with an illustration of protag Reikas sat coly with legs crossed and a marker pen held in one hand, with cheeky doodles drawn over the game's villain's face and a piece of paper. "Time Stop!"

A snap of one of the pages, with painstakingly drawn recreations of hte various scenes of the QTE based animated footage gameplay with directional inputs for each of them.

I think it's cool that you kept the constructive grid lines in on that sketch to convey her placement in space, suggesting the object she is grounded onto, and the depth of the drop.
