When I said earlier that literally every single thing happening today can be traced back to us not just allowing but encouraging it to be done to the black community- this is another example. ‘drugs as criminal’ happened in the US almost exclusively by connecting drugs to black community.
Drugs are the primary boogeyman used to justify imperial intervention in Latin America. When academics and activists like myself talk about legalizing drugs, it's not only to keep drug users safe from the toxic supply (which is reason enough), it's about geopolitical stability. It affects YOU

I will never understand why they replaced community submitted subtitles for this nonsense
Real human people were happy and willing to make subtitles in a variety of languages for free, and the creator had full control of what submissions were used

It finally happened. I finally ran into a Youtube video with that awful auto-dubbing feature turned on.
The video is an interview and it's... not even watchable now. Like the auto-dubbing is just saying random nonsensical words. 😭
