It's surprising to me that separatists in Quebec and Alberta don't understand land title

Is it willfull blindness or stupidity?

Let's walk through this:

Alberta separates;
Crown land title is extinguished;
Indigenous land title remains;
Non-indigenous Albertans don't own land or resources;

The Alberta territory tries to raise an army and police force to take the the land, but has no money

Transfer pricing:

Put export tariffs on oil, gas, minerals and electricity

Then sell tariff free quotas from each province

Quota purchases are not tariffed; commodity prices will drop, dropping effective tariffs

This is clearly beyond the competence of our politicians

Bluesky is collegial and interesting, the way Twitter used to be. Bonus: most people can spell.

We also have to remember that members of political parties on both left and right become less open to new ideas as they age

#UBI #CitizenDividend from a 1% #LandTax was a great idea 140yrs ago from Henry George et al, studies prove it, yet both sides resist

I've had a very different experience becoming more open to new ideas as I age

Openness, curiosity and intelligence are required to explore new ideas; these attributes usually diminish as we age

Seth,

We work with numerous climate organizations and indigenous groups that are pushing for incremental progressive policies

How can we submit policies to your Society to help move things forward

(E.g. ConnectDER for homes; water rental fees shared with indigenous peoples; many more)

Apparently, Marijuana reduces sperm count

So do microplastics

Workplaces are structurally designed to inhibit fertility and caregiving

Why is anyone surprised with reduced birthrates?

i keep saying this. all of what you're seeing is what our ancestors saw firsthand and survived. we've seen this happen too many times before. indigenous people live this.
he's defying the supreme court ruling, just like Andrew Jackson, his favorite president that he wishes he could wank off, did when he illegally removed the Cherokee people from their homelands

this is not new. you just haven't paid attention unless it affected you too.

"Folks told us #Covid just wasn't the time to talk #ClimateChange & to be sure a lot of climate organizations & the most progress we'd ever seen just died on the vine during that time. Last year it was #Housing & #Inequality. This year it's an openly covetous, belligerent & reckless America" #yyc
For nearly 50 years #BigOil slow-walked the world to disaster by lying about the danger of Climate Change & creating denial/doubt about the science & solutions. Our latest show digs in to a new report about how they're STILL doing it to our children in our schools

Everyone has a "money story" that informs how they deal with the most abstract story (currency)

It's useful framing to think of money as a tool (Swiss army knive) that can do many things

A #CitizenDividend funded through a 1% #LandTax would provide every child and adult with basic tools
They should rebuild Swangard closer to Patterson skytrain

They could use existing Swangard for cpl and Rise and then the new stadium fir mls and cup games for all teams
People who brag about being injured due to incorrect risk assessment deserve your condescension
Intelligent skiers rarely get injured

Recklessness = injuries

It’s time your government got back in the business of building affordable homes.
