It's eternally frustrating that the HSE has the blinkers on & only looks to UK when it comes to trans healthcare when Spain & Malta are right there! In Spain I can walk into a pharmacist & get estrogen patches. No GP, no traumatic assessments. Just medicine without the bullshit and no one is harmed.

The wider aspect of this, forgetting it's only two locations, is the reminder to Irish society in general (and trans people in particular) that the National Gender Service is not fit for purpose and that it's ok to ignore them & work around them! TRANSGRESS THE NGS!

The irony is that Cass and her confederates were convinced they were blowing the lid off a major medical conspiracy to trans kids.

My favourite Stephen King novel is that one about the dogs and cats and hamsters that die and get buried in a scary place and come back to life but there’s something kind of opposite about them and how they used to be, I think the book’s called Pet Symmetry.
