And the answer is that he did not get it done while he was in the Marines. You can't hide a tattoo like that when you live in a barracks. And a Totenkopf (vs a Jolly Roger) would be an Other Than Honorable discharge AT A MINIMUM.
It's been against DoD regs for as long as I can remember.

Most importantly, it takes away your dignity. Warehousing disabled people means they’re “out of sight, out of mind.”
This is what they want, it’s disgusting and dehumanizing. It should be illegal.

Disabled people should not be forced into institutions just because you don’t think they “deserve” housing and support.

Institutions cost the tax payer more money, but they also rob people of autonomy and control.

With adequate support we can retain our independence which helps us thrive.
