🧵1/2 Every elected and law enforcement official, from village clerk, beat cop or local magistrate to Congress and SCOTUS, takes an oath to defend or support the Constitution. If they are not calling for impeachment of POTUS for declaring war on US citizens, ask them why.

We need a symbol of resistance. Something we can print/sew/knit/stamp, make into ribbons and tie it to every tree and lamppost. Wear as armbands. I'm not a graphic designer but I'd like to get the idea rolling. My opening suggestion is blue with gray stars (Union colors) with Lady Liberty's torch.

In Trump's America, your tax $$ promote violence and cruelty and division, and they DON'T go to things that make this country great and bring us together, like public libraries, national parks, public broadcasting, and school lunches. I'm increasingly thinking a tax strike is our only option.

My GOP colleagues keep saying we’re overreacting, this is just how any admin exercises power. I can’t tell if they’re only seeing what they want to see, only getting news that exonerates the admin, or straight up lying.

At a senior fair in the red part of my district last week, at least 100 people came to our table and nearly all were there to rage against the big ICE raid on a rural factory in the county. This all-out assault on human rights is backfiring among the base.

Want to stop being called a Nazi? Stop acting like one. Your ICE sent 50 agents with masks, guns, dogs, to break into a factory in my district. Singled out the Hispanic workers, disappeared them into prisons or summarily deported them. How does that differ from the way Nazis treated Jews in the 30s?

YES! They are blatantly breaking the law and relying on how slowly challenges move through the courts. Victims are shackled, abused in detention centers, & deported before their lawyers even find them. They target not "violent criminals" but those pursuing legal paths, b/c they're easier to find.

It’s great to cancel subscriptions to corrupt businesses. But what we really need is to cancel every single GOP elected official who doesn’t have the courage, patriotism or honor to stop this madness. They swore to defend the Constitution and they are all breaking their oaths.
