I voted for #MarkCarney & think there a lot of things he is doing right, but this is not one of them. It doesn't serve #Canada to have people suffering because they can't afford healthcare. Yes, we need to preserve the system for Canadians, but we also need compassion when it comes to this. #cdnpoli

Actually nevermind. It’s better if things are kept secret
Someone needs to ask the Hootsuite CEO if their online monitoring software can detect faces of people in photos and videos.

Because that’s what they tell Canadian police agencies in their sales pitch documents.

That's an armoured vehicle sold to ICE by a Canadian company btw.

Some of us were furious about the sale of such vehicles to Saudi Arabia under Harper/Trudeau, and we are equally furious about this under Trudeau/Carney.
This administration is cooked. Literally no one is scared of them.

ICE killing #AlexPretti should remind you of police killing #PhilandoCastille. Both men had concealed weapon permits, did not draw their guns, & were killed in Minn. These homicides are the price of unaccountable policing. These deaths are variations on the same fatal theme.

Me: "Carney is cutting the agencies we need the most right now."

Carney fans: "The public service became bloated under Trudeau."

Me: "They're also closing research facilities."

CFs: "Those facilties were redundant."

(Reminder that they previously said warning of cuts was fearmongering.)

Marylanders have witnessed this cruelty in our own communities – during a school drop-off in Salisbury and in Glen Burnie on Christmas Eve. These are not isolated incidents.

We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights.

There is a method for how to effectively resist, and eventually topple, such a regime. We can learn from others who came before us.

This is my favorite guide.
