Now that LA has bankrupted itself for years due to LAPD pay raises + lawsuits, the parking cops have become ubiquitous.
Of course, this means high-density + high minority neighborhoods in the city are double taxed to pay for police that routinely violate their rights & freedom.

i have said this before but when “getting rid of race in admissions” for the administration means “you can’t even try to reach out to underrepresented communities and encourage them to apply and if you do it is illegal discrimination against white people” then the actual goal here is segregation

The longtime fear-mongering about crime in major cities is, of course, copaganda and is being used as a pretext for occupation. It has more to do with criminalizing and controlling specific populations i.e. Black, brown, unhoused, and poor people, and not others.
The vast majority of Americans, 81%, see crime as a “major problem” in large cities, according to recent polling from the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
