Setting the precedent that filling out a gender marker that does not correspond with your sex assigned at birth constitutes material fraud is a horrifying precedent to set. They can prosecute trans people simply for stating who they are to government officials. This is a terrifying road to go down.

THEY'RE GOING TO ISSUE PERMANENT VISA BANS TO TRANS VISITORS TO THE US.

This isn't just for athletes. The directive as stated applies to all visa applications made by trans folks and declare it material fraud to use a different gender marker on applications.

Today,February 17 is Heritage Day in Nova Scotia. This year, we honour Mi’kmaq activist Nora Bernard, a member of the Millbrook First Nation, was a tireless advocate for Residential School Survivors. She founded a survivor organization in 1995, that led to the start of a class action lawsuit.

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.
