We went to a number of prime KF spots but didn’t even hear one call. Later, wandering to a pub, a flash of electric blue zipped past us as we crossed a bridge over the Dart in Totnes.

Sometimes they just come to you.

We were incredibly lucky. Thanks!

Good morning all. I’ve nearly packed the car (and I’ve even remembered log out of the TV apps this time). Now for some breakfast before saying goodbye to this view until next year. Have a corking weekend, when you get to it.
The sun is rising over the hills of Kingswear, lighting the patchy clouds and being reflected in the river Dart. There are lots of boats and yachts in view.

We’ve had both, very briefly, this trip so feeling very fortunate already.

They are such chatty birds. Tiny delights.

They are just like a day dream…

Morning all! Up a bit earlier today for a trip up stream. Hoping for a kingfisher and mebbe, just possibly, another osprey sighting. Will then do a bit of packing ready to start a slow journey home tomorrow and over the weekend.

We’ve been so lucky with the weather… even Amy was kind to us!

Morning all. Went for a beautiful walk along the south west coastal path yesterday. Seals and firecrests were spotted. Might do something similar today…
Stunning view of the river dart estuary looking west to Dartmouth castle. The sea is a delicious green/blue.

Good morning all. Glorious start to the day here and we are heading out for breakfast before tackling a bit of the coastal walk. Have a grand Tuesday.

It’s either a common seal or a relative of Nessie. I favour the latter.

Yes Dartmouth! Always beautiful…

Morning all. Still on holiday and have turned off the alarm for the week. Took conclusive video evidence of the beast of the Dart yesterday evening… chilling!

It’s also, objectively, terrifying.

In honor of National Poetry Day, the greatest parody rewrite of all time:
Screen cap of parodic version of William Blake's "The Tyger" that begins:
Tyger! Tyger! Burning bright
(Not sure if I spelled that right)
What immortal hand or eye
Could fashion such a stripy guy?
What the hammer that hath hewn it
Into such a chonky unit?
Did who made the lamb make thee,
Or an external franchisee?

Good morning all. Today’s dreary forecast has prompted a lazy day, just mooching around town, which will make a nice change after a fun packed week of walks, pubs and seafood. Have a corking weekend when you get to it.

I wonder? Is the coal industry owned by a small number of billionaires? Whilst the wine industry is ownership is much more widely distributed?

Yep you can’t plan good weather but when it arrives… bliss. Antwerpen is on my list to visit!

Morning all! Just popping in from holiday. Glorious weather so far and more today, with luck. Up early for a river cruise, hoping to spot a few seals and maybe a kingfisher or two. Have a good day.
