Why don't we like "AI?"

You try to put it into everything in nonsensical ways.
It doesn't work the way you claim it will.
You don't pay for the work you use to generate it.
Your intent is labor reduction without a contributory return.
You know it's unpopular so you try to hide it.
You lie about it.

Here are some avoidable issues that may upset autistic people to the point of self-injury or aggression, yet parents or caregivers might be told such behavior is “just autism,” or that the autistic person needs behavioral conditioning therapy. At TPGA:

Please know that if the underlying, distressing, issue is never addressed, then the autistic person is not only still upset, but is being punished—or having rewards taken away, for being in distress. That is an unfair and horrible way to live. 2/

Okay, everyone! Out of the pool! OnlyFans is gonna start requiring criminal background checks for all their creators in the US. No word on whether this is something the Trumpists asked for, or whether they came up with it themselves. Either way, it's creepy as fuck.

Major fan subscription platform to require criminal background checks for all US creators
The platform's CEO shared the news on social media, noting that a background screener with a troubled legal history would be used.

Randy Milholland really does some of the best comics about mental health, but I also feel myself really worried about him whenever I see strips like this.

Nothing like starting off the week by binging the Lambrini Girls. Almost ready to deal with the next week of shit.

My first response to this was "Someone needs to stop dealing drugs to techbros."

But the depressing reality is that they probably came up with this without drugs. Unless you include freebasing a mix of Ayn Rand and Robert Heinlein.
A 25-person startup is developing technology to block the sun and turn down the planet’s thermostat.

The stakes are huge — and the company and its critics say regulations need to catch up.

Honestly, these motherfuckers might want to take a look at NaNoWriMo and think about why it's not around any more.

Apparently part of their justification is that these unofficial groups aren't part of their app, which has a $50/year subscription.
Well this is some bullshit. Apparently, the official #BuyNothing Project has started going around and having unofficial groups pulled down off Facebook for alleged copyright infringement.

Why all the free-stuff Facebook groups you’re part of just changed their name

Difficult level: impossible apparently.

Then I read the subheadline and... bro, what?

Is it a threat to free speech when the President of the United States threatens to yank the broadcast license of a channel whose reporters are asking him challenging questions?

I ask because I feel like there used to be tons of pundits worried about free speech. Where'd they go?
Trump in response to an Epstein question: "ABC, your company, your crappy company is one of the perpetrators. I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and so wrong. And we have a great commissioner, a chairman, who should take a look at that."

This feels like a very, very Trump thing to do. But at the same time, it's even more Trump than usual. The notion of the Epstein case becoming public seems to freak him out badly, and that makes me happy.

Trump wants to deflect and distract, but the people see right through his cover up.

He can't escape this predatory, pedophile, ponzi scheme he's complicit in.

That's why we're fighting to release all the Epstein files, hold a hearing with survivors, & deliver accountability.
Breaking news: Attorney General Pam Bondi indicated she has appointed a prosecutor to examine the relationships between Jeffrey Epstein and other prominent Democrats, including former president Bill Clinton, as requested by President Trump today.
Bondi says Justice will investigate relationships to Epstein suggested by Trump
President Donald Trump suggested the relationships between the disgraced financier and several prominent Democrats deserve more scrutiny than his own connections to Epstein.

Tim Kaine needs to be primaried out of office. Then go away forever.
Tim Kaine on AOC: "She was not at the table with the Republicans in the Senate. Maybe she thinks the Republicans would've caved. Would it have been another week of SNAP recipients losing their SNAP benefits? Another month of air travelers enduring chaos and even danger?"

Autistic people are not wired to be rigid.

Rigidity is a human response to the fear of our needs not being met. A logical one, even.

Because it's a mechanism that ensures our needs are met. Because when they go unmet, we suffer. Sometimes to an intolerable level.
